Tylosin (50% base) WSP For Vet Use.
Composition:
Each one gram contain:
- Tylosin tartrate 540.8 mg, Eq. to Tylosin base 500 mg.
Features & Indications:
- Plasmosin contain Tylosin, which is a macrolide antibiotic producing its bacteriostatic effect by binding to 50s ribosomal subunit resulting in inhibition of bacterial protein synthesis.
- Plasmosin is effective against gram-positive bacteria such as staphylococcus spp., streptococcus spp. and gram-negative bacteria such as Pasteurella spp. and Haemophilus paragallinarum.
- Plasmosin is active against atypical mycobacterium, Mycobacterium, Mycoplasma, Chlamydia, and Rickettsia spp.
Plasmosin is used for treatment of:

- CRD (chronic respiratory disease) caused by mycoplasma gallisepticum.
- Infectious Coryza caused by Haemophilus paragallinarum.
Dosage & administration:
- 1 gm Plasmosin / 1 liter of drinking water for 3-5 days.
Withdrawal time:
- Meat: 2 days.
Storage:
- Store at temperature not exceeding 30 C° in a dry place, and use immediately after opening and reconstitution.
Warning:
- Sufficient access to the system of water supply should be available for the animals to be treated to ensure adequate water consumption.
- Under-dosing and/or treating for an insufficient length of time are considered to promote the development of resistance in bacteria and should be avoided.
- Do not use in animals with known hypersensitivity to tylosin or other macrolides.
- Do not use in cases of known resistance to tylosin or cross-resistance to other macrolides (MLS-resistance).
- Do not use in animals vaccinated with tylosin-sensitive vaccines either at the same time or within one week previously.
- There is no evidence of Tylosin toxicity in broiler chickens when administered orally at up to three times the recommended dose.
